World Wildlife Day Toolkit 2021

World Wildlife Day is held on March 3 every year and presents a great opportunity for ROUTES partners to broadcast the important work they are doing to prevent wildlife trafficking through air transport.

World Wildlife Day 2021 has the theme “Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet” highlighting the role of forest ecosystems in covering basic needs such as food, shelter, energy and medicine, as well as sustaining livelihoods for hundreds of millions of people globally. But over-exploitation and poaching threatens the stability of forest ecosystems needed to carry out these functions.

This toolkit contains facts, suggested social media posts and hashtags, images, a video and more to help spread this message on the day, and what the ROUTES Partnership is doing to help. By protecting the skies from wildlife trafficking, we are helping sustain both people and the planet.
