Wildlife Trafficking Awareness

There are multiple job types and roles within the transport sector that will benefit greatly from building awareness and understanding of the modalities and opportunities of illegal wildlife trafficking, and the development of capacity, knowledge and incentives to take action.  These range from the operators booking shipments with clients, to the cargo handlers, cabin crew and even policy staff.  To date there has been some limited transport sector initiatives to build the ability of the private sector staff to respond to wildlife trafficking situations. Building on this experience and information, ROUTES will develop and adapt a range of training tools that will provide both generic and specific information for roles across the transport sector.
