Module 2: Wildlife Trafficking on Airlines in South and Central Asia

This module provides an overview of wildlife trafficking to familiarize air transport staff with the issue. By the end of the session, staff will understand the risks posed by wildlife traffickers to legal transport supply chains, understand why wildlife is traded, understand that there are laws and regulations which govern the trade in wildlife and understand the magnitude and impacts of the illegal wildlife trade.
This module provides region-specific information on trafficking routes and seizures that are relevant to South and Central Asia. Replace slides 18 to 23 from the general training module 2 with the following slides which contain information for personnel in South and Central Asia.
